Service conversations are now
free
to encourage businesses to be available for their customers on WhatsApp. Businesses can continue to respond to any customer message at no charge using free-form messages within the 24-hour customer service window.
Feb 1, 2025:
Introduce new international authentication rates in Egypt, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, and UAE. This is a continuation of the rollout that began in India and Indonesia earlier this year.
April 1, 2025 –
Utility templates in the 24-hour customer service window become free, encouraging businesses to send valuable utility messages. Meta is also working on offering richer features and better pricing for complex, multi-message journeys such as order updates.
Phase 1 Launch: April 1, 2025 | Phase 2 Launch: July 1, 2025
The new per-message pricing model will be introduced, with pricing based on the business value of each message. This applies to both marketing messages (for conversions) and utility messages (for a user with a fraud alert to protect their account and mitigate the need for downstream customer support.)
